New Year’s Eve

Saturday, December 31st, 2005

after work, we were off to some buffet "italian" restaurant along HuaQiangBei. the food was ‘ok’ since it cost us each only RMB$39…so mai hiam buay pai. we had choices of pizza, spaghetti (yuk!), fried finger food which weijie rushed from his booth seat everytime the waiter comes out from the kitchen..but haha, it took him his 3rd attempt before he managed to lay his hands on the chicken wings!!! His 2nd attempt, he waited there for almost 10mins at the buffet table but no waiter came out of the kitchen, disappointed he headed back to our booth with an empty plate.Pc310008blogjie’s long awaited chicken wings!!!

after the supposedly sumptous dinner, the whole troop of us went across the road for a karaoke session! woohoo! but ….not many choices of new songs…:(1_044blog Pc31003blog

26.12.2005   |  a nite at little fat sheep…

one of the reknown steamboat houses in shenzhen and across HK too! me and jie had the yuanyang base soup which had a very thick medicinal taste chicken stock while the other half was the spicy numbing chilli stock!

it was after meeting Donna my studio mate who introduce "xiaofeiyang" to us in HK that we decided that it was time for us to try the one in Shenzhen! and it really lifts up to its name, Jie loves the thinly sliced mutton and i thot the broth for the steamboat was fantastic!!! very thick and savoury! YUMMY! *thumbs up*

we couldnt finished all the meat at first (it was a mini mountain leh!!) and Jie wanted to ‘tah bao’ it back, but we were too paiseh…and Jie couldnt resist stuffing himself with all the mutton slices! As a result, we actually went back to the apt as "little fat sheep". our tumtums all bulging out of our clothes!

next it was time to exchange our xmas gifts under our mini lit tree…
